Author Description Thomas Buchanan Buchan (1931 - 1995) was a Scottish poet, playwright/dramatist and novelist. He was educated at Jordanhill School and Balfron High School. He taught at Denny High School before becoming a lecturer at Madras University, India (1957-58), a teacher at Irvine Royal Academy (1963-65), a senior lecturer at Clydebank Technical College (1967-70), and a director of festivals at Craigmillar and Dumbarton. His best known collection is <i>Dolphins at Cochin</i> (1969). Three others followed, as well as a novel, <i>Makes You Feel Great</i>. He also wrote five plays.<br /><br />In 1973, he succeeded <a href="https://www.goodreads.com/author/show/2769252.Bob_Tait" title="Bob Tait" rel="nofollow noopener">Bob Tait</a> as editor of the magazine <i>Scottish International</i>.
